Hexadome

The decision to make the first pavilion in Pars university was held by students themselves and the participation was completely voluntarily. Due to lack of any sponsor, we decided to go as cheap as possible. After some experiments, we chose a light, cheap cardboard which is mainly used in making pastry boxes.
The main computational challenge was to planarize the hexagon modules in order to laser-cut them through a simple cardboard sheet. In addition, the beehive shaped exo-skeleton was made by folding the wide flaps (the folding line was loosely laser-cut).
