How to make various cheap building blocks with limited tools and without any CNC machine or 3D printer?
There’s no doubt in the power of CAM tools but the issues of budget and availability still exist. In addition, subtractive methods for manufacturing waste a considerable amount of material. We wanted to develop a digital formwork which can generate different building blocks with simple additive materials, without any material waste. Cheap, efficient, innovative & easy to use for any worker.

Every ellipse has a 0-90 degrees rotational domain. With every 5 degrees rotation for each ellipse in the algorithm, we had 361 blocks which 91 of them are unique. Using this blocks and a curve attractor we can have a parametric 3D facade which can diffuse light and sound.
